Jesus Christ: Eastern Guru of the Emerging Church?

Matthew 22:39 ...And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I [am] the LORD

Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

Romans 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if [there be] any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, [even] in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

James 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:

Love thy neighbor, is the rallying call of the emerging church, and it’s the message of the antichrist.

In the 60’s eastern philosophies began creeping into north America, with them came a message of an all encompassing love, a love that is unconditionally. Now this sounds familiar doesn’t it, the bible speaks strongly about loving each other and of Christ’s total love of His creation and it is important to show love to each other, but only in the context of following scripture. We of course know better today and are now able to rewrite the bible to include man’s idea of love. (Of course I am joking)

The hippie movement stemmed from the teachings of eastern gurus that were made popular by many musical groups of the 60’s and 70’s, these teachings are now mainstream and very much in our churches. The love that the hippie movement taught was a love of everything, a love where there is no good or bad, a love that is not judgmental, a love that does not correct or rebuke, a love that accepts all and is tolerant of every belief system except Christianity coincidently enough. This fact should raise some red flags to people that follow Rick Warren or the Emerging church (New Age church). But of course it won’t we have been conditioned to this New Age movement and it speaks to us in a way that Christ's true teachings don’t.

Isaiah 5:20 (KJV) Woe to them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJV)
3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

We are warned of a time when man will not know good from evil, we will confuse these terms and the definitions of them will change. Welcome to the New Age because that is where we are at today. This new teaching and definition of Christ suits us and sounds right but it is not, the world has conditioned us to accept it though. Definitions have changed and we are unaware of it, we are in a time when Christians will not endure sound doctrine, we will on accept a message that makes us “feel” good or tickles our ears. Most of the teachings of the bible do not fit this condition; most of the bible is very sobering and thought provoking. But this doesn’t fit with our new paradigm, we no longer like to think things through, we just want to feel good. Just like the hippies, we are only looking for our next high and reject anything else.

Our churches are now reflecting this, turning away from sound doctrine to make congregations feel good. Every Sunday is now a love in, the music has a rhythmic tribal beat to it that is proven to put man in a altered state, one that is susceptible to contact from the supernatural. Mediation, a once evil word is now a good word in relation to Christ, like the drums and the beat of the music it too puts us in an altered state ready for contact. Loud music, no discipline, relaxed atmosphere, giving ourselves over to the feelings of the flesh, all contribute to the Christian love in experience. Today there is little difference from Christianity and the pagan eastern teachings.

Christ said some very sobering things; contrary to today’s “Christian” teachings not everything Christ said made you feel good.

Matthew 7:21-25 (KJV)21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Christ speaks of the final days, He shows a time in the last days where people think they are Christians, do some of the things that followers of Christ should and even use Christ's name, but they do not have the spirit of Christ, they have followed false teachings and have mixed the iron with the clay to become an abomination.

2 Peter 2:1-3 (NKJV)
1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does[a] not slumber.

We are warned of these times, but of course we won’t believe it, how do I know this. I know this because if we did believe it God would not have to bring the tribulations to the earth that He does.

2 Thessalonians 2:3, “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.”

We are warned of a time when there is a falling away from Christ and His teachings, guess what we are there. Churches will not shut down; in fact they will prosper, because they are teaching a “new” message. Actually this is a New Age message that is rooted in paganism but has the appearance of God like teachings.

But of course we are too intelligent, arrogant, self centered and prideful to fall for that aren’t we?

The love that is taught in many of the churches today is not the true love of Christ. It is an eastern derived, hippie love in type of love.

Christ’s love includes, correcting each other, rebuking, and intolerance for sin, and intolerance of other beliefs, unfortunately this type of love is not acceptable to many Christians today.

Any church that shows a weakness for correcting and rebuking is not teaching the gospel of Christ, nor for that matter the love of Christ. Any church that allows or turns a blind eye to sin in any form is not teaching the gospel of Christ. Today in many churches the more prominent people in the church are living in sin, but of course it wouldn’t be loving to correct them would it?

James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment

1 Timothy 5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear

Luke 17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

Titus 1:13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

Titus 2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee."

Ezekiel 33:8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
